The Homeless in Boston
Portraits and documentary photographs of the Boston Homeless Population as well as the individuals who devote their time to help out those less fortunate. Photographs were taken throughout the Greater Boston area.
Largely represented within these photographs are the men, women, caregivers, and other professionals responsible for the lasting upkeep of the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program, an organization that has been serving homeless men, women, and children in Boston for the last 20 years. BHCHP has developed into the nation's largest healthcare service provider for homeless individuals. Founded in 1985, BHCHP was an offshoot of a nationally recognized homeless healthcare program funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Pew Charitable Trust. 2011 Photography, Photojournalism, Documentary -
